Bush Walks

Motel guests can enjoy bush walks on private property around the Lodge. Please stop into the office for a description of the bush walks, to view the map, or to find out more about activities in the area. Leave your jandals at home - to keep you safe, proper walking shoes are required.

Glowworm Grotto

Five minutes return. Go after dark to see their magical glow! Torches available from the office.


Choppers Track

45 minutes return.


Giant Puriri

Ten minute return walk among impressive Puriri trees.

Hikurangi track

This track is located on Pakihiroa Station 30 km from the turn-off from Highway 35 (Tapuaeroa Road). This track runs through private land and may be closed from time to time. Inquirys for access 06 8648660.
