Two Ways to GO! – Free Fun Around Hicks Bay

Free Fun Around Hicks Bay

The newest craze to “Catch em All” has taken the world by storm. What do we mean? While many of the older generations might be scratching their heads at watching crowds of people with their heads in their smart phones, there’s a great explanation for this strange behavior. Free fun around Hicks bay and New Zealand is found with a new smart phone app that allows you to capture invisible creatures through the camera interface!

Scavenger Hunt – Free Fun Around Hicks Bay

The app is free to download and play, and it’s a fantastic way to get outdoors and get some fresh air. It’s not just youngsters playing either; some adults are getting into the fad too.

In fact, one local decided to quit their job to “hunt” Pokemon through the Pokemon GO app full-time. Unfortunately you won’t get paid for playing (sorry), but while on holiday, it’s a fantastic way to discover local monuments and historical sites throughout the area. It’s free fun around Hicks Bay or wherever you travel in New Zealand!

Geocaching – The Original World-Wide Scavenger Hunt

While the Pokemon GO app is the newest craze, geocaching is the original scavenger hunt where players can find “caches”, not through their camera, but in real life. Geocaching is also a great way to enjoy the outdoors while on holiday, and it’s also free! Users register through the geocaching website and use the GPS on their phone or other device to go hunt down treasure. For more information on geocaching, visit our previous blog here.
